BLOG ENTRY #71: A FEW HOURS LATER

Snow is beautiful....unless you have to travel in it or shovel it..

BLOG ENTRY #70: I DIDN'T DREAM OF A WHITE BIRTHDAY

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.....

This is the current view.  I think this is the first time I have seen snow in New York on my birthday.    It actually adds to the mood.  I am spending my 61st birthday home, quiet, while doing a little writing.  Cell phone is off.  I appreciate any voice messages, texts, emails and Facebook acknowledgements, but for now, I just want quiet alone time.  During this time of the year I usually reflect.  Mom's birthday was yesterday and we always spent it together.  For 53 years we celebrated  with each other and those memories will always be cherished.

Breakfast:  Fried bananas, juice and leftover bacon (don't judge).
Lunch:  Ham and cheese on roll
Dinner:  Was going to be a homemade lasagna, but since I forgot the sauce, I will settle for salmon steak with veggies.  Will fix lasagna tomorrow.

December 13th would have been my Mom's 98th birthday.  Gone since 2019, she is still missed.

BLOG ENTRY #69: THE WINTER CONCERT @ LEHMAN COLLEGE

Also, please forgive me on the camera shaking. Even though this was a free concert and nothing was said about recording, I tried to be discreet in filming.

BLOG ENTRY #68: A SUNDAY WELL SPENT

This is from the Winter Concert at Lehman College in the Bronx.  I attended last year, and it inspired me to go to the Philharmonic earlier this year.   As a child, I enjoyed listening to real music.

BLOB ENTRY#67: I still have a problem putting the camera in people's face

Another shot at the Texas Roadhouse.  My godson turned 37.  Please excuse the poor quality of the video.  I am great at taking pictures of animals and landmarks.   Not so great with humans.

TEXAS ROADHOUSE, November 2025

No review.  Just hanging out with my godson for his birthday and his mom.    I recommend if you enjoy Dallas BBQ and other similar places.   Texas Roadhouse has the best dinner rolls I ever had.  They served them with whipped cinnamon butter (which I actually hate lol).  I requested regular butter .

BLOG ENTRY #66 MTA and another dumb idea

The world has gotten more aggressive.   New York has gotten more aggressive.  People hop the turnstile often IN FRONT OF THE COPS.  So placing UNARMED 'agents" in the system with only an OMNY reader and a device to give out fines will be as much of a deterrent as having Stevie Wonder.

You might deter one or two per bus ride, if the passenger even acknowledges the agent.  You will get shouting matches and even fights.  Guaranteed.  That happens now if you politely ask someone to turn down their music.

And what about the kids who refuse to even use their OMNY card?

New York simply needs to cough up the money for police or agents with firearms.  Period.

Check out the link and the video to get the full story on MTA's half wit plan.

PSA: Biopic vs Documentaries

I don't like biopics.  I prefer documentaries. A docuseries is fine. I prefer Broadway plays.  I am not wild about musicals. I have a L...
