So I am at the library, like I am three or four days out of the week. In my community library in Coop City there are two semi long tables which accommodate eight people per table. These tables offer outlets for people to use with their devices. On a normal day four out of the eight seats are in use, mostly because most folks like to place their bags in the seat next to them, preventing anyone else from sitting next to them. Today, to my surprise, only two people were sitting at one table, while the second table was full. After sitting down I realized the possible reason. One of the people sitting there, a middle-aged lady, had a consistent cough. Even though we are not supposedly in the Covid pandemic, I still treat the disease as if it still exists and like it can still kill. I don't wear a mask everywhere but I usually keep one on me in case I am in a crowded bus or room. Unfortunately, I didn't have my mask with me, but after a few minuets, I got up, went to the convenience store and got one. I have been here at the library since 2:30 and have been wearing the mask since about 3:00.
Worst thing is this woman had this persistent cough and half the time she didn't cover up. One of those germ spreaders who get off on having the right to spread their germs. F**k if you have a compromised immune system. F**k if you are elderly. F**k if you just care about your own health.
The guy sitting next to her put on a mask. I was sitting diagonally across from her and put one on.
To be fair, this inconsiderate beast didn't necessarily have Covid. But she wasn't shy about sharing anything she had.
Stay home if you are sick.
